Sten made a Sweden presentation for me. Informative wikipedia information on the cities I'm going to in the Spring.
What fits best with the suburbs? White picket fences of course.
Sten and I went to How to Train Your Dragon 3D. We found out that Sten can pull off the hipster-styled 3D glasses pretty well.
Trinkets at Anthropologie, before they made me put my camera away. Too bad.
It's that time of year again. Time to bring out the wax, candles, kistkas, dyes and creativity. Mom had her Caribou friends over, and Mitch blew us all away with his flame/magma egg. Amazing! Don't forget to check out Mitch's photo blog: http://www.mitchster.com/
Twin time!
For those who haven't heard yet, I got into the Semester in Sweden study abroad program for next spring. I'm beyond excited! To celebrate, here's a picture of Läckö castle from my trip to Sweden in 2004. Can't wait to get back.
My lovely Emi, who keeps me happy with tea, asian dramas, and random outbursts of love.
Girls just wanna have fun.
Meet Emily's fish Mr. Bond. You can always find him spazzing in his corner, trying to talk to you. Too bad fish language can't be translated, he seems to know a lot of things.
Catching laughter off guard is my favorite. Julie is absolutely adorable.
His and hers cowboy boots.
Now that I've been taking Geology for two months, I find myself studying rocks more closely now. I still don't find them all that interesting though. With the exception of halite, which is salt.
Casey and I. Ariel was originally in this too, but it was only a fraction of her face (sorry Ariel!). For a full picture of us three, see Casey's blog.
The sun and the green are out just in time for St. Patrick's Day! It was so lovely out today, everyone's mood seems to have brightened.
No new picture for today. This is one of my older favorites, from my trip to San Antonio in 2006.
Even the Swedish pioneer cabin in the Arb is suffering the March blues.
Hope your Pi (3.14!) day was as delicious as mine!
Look at our Amaryllis plant go! I'm very excited for it to bloom pretty red flowers.
Gustavus Idol was a grand success. Here's Kory and Peter doing a acoustic guitar medley of Lady Gaga songs. Super fun.
Wouldn't this weather be more enjoyable if it was showers of light not showers of rain?
Raising the sticks in victory. Gustavus men's hockey played a great game against St. Thomas winning 3-1. Go Gusties!
Life is clearer when you have your glasses on.
Truer words have never been spoken. With two early morning exams today, I was highly caffeinated all yesterday and today. My total yesterday was 7 cups of coffee and 1 cappuccino, not nearly close to my record, but enough to scare most of my friends.
How homework gets done during winter.
Happy Birthday Cory! Thank you for often brightening my day and tolerating my craziness. :)
Taken while on lunch break in St. Paul. A beautiful day to have an hour off and walk around.
The beautiful exterior of the Capitol building in St. Paul. A group of us were there today lobbying for the State Grant Program. Perfect weather for a day out.
The view from a table at the Buffet. The atmosphere, the spring flowers and the crazy stories from my supervisors are the reasons I love working and eating here. And yes, the food is delicious as well.
The first exams of the new semester begin to take their toll.....
Funky designs and paint by numbers decorate this fun and delicious cafe, Hot Plate. Kudos to my mother for finding this great place.
